3 cups apple juice
1 tbsp real maple syrup
1/2 ground cinnamon
1 tsp salt (optional)
1-1/2 cups Quaker Quick Cooking Oats or Old Fashioned Oats, uncooked
1 cup unpeeled apple or dried apple pieces, chopped
5 walnuts or pecans, chopped (optional)
1 In a medium saucepan, bring juice, water, syrup, cinnamon, and salt to a boil.
2 Stir in oats and apple, and then reduce heat and cook on a simmering flame.
3 Cook for about 5 minutes until most of the liquid is absorbed and stir occasionally.
4 Stir in walnuts, if desired.
